Majed Z. SAMMAN is the Head of Performing Arts & Cinema at Ithra | Producer of Hajjan

Majed Z. SAMMAN is a Saudi filmmaker, producer, actor and editor who studied computer engineering at Nippon Institute of Technology in Tokyo, Japan. He worked as an IT project manager at Goldman Sachs, Barclay's, Citibank and other companies in Tokyo. He later headed IT & Operations at Alahli Takaful Company, a life insurance firm in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Samman left the banking industry to peruse his true passion in the arts and joined the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where he is Head of Performing Arts & Cinema. At Ithra, he has produced two feature films streaming on Netflix (Last Visit and Zero Distance) and six short films, three of which are showing on Netflix and two on Shahid. Samman is currently producing two upcoming feature films and a TV series under the Ithra Film Productions banner, all scheduled for release in 2023 and 2024.

Samman continues to pursue his deep love for the arts and culture, where he seeks to show the world more about the uncharted and fascinating scenes yet to be discovered beyond the golden sands of Saudi Arabia.
