Every two year, the "gourounsi" growers of Kwen, a small village in Burkina Faso, organize a cultural party, which has developed into a carnival. For 3 days and 2 nights, their world is transformed. Selected by their elders, the most deserving young people transform into the president of the republic, government ministers (of Justice, Security and Agriculture), king and queen, inventing for themselves a role playing game of power. This party, which has existed since the founding of the village in the 1940's, has as its goal to foster social integration through a celebration of the life-giving land.
