It's the story of an uprooted family in today's Algeria. They had to leave their land to move to the city where the father, a former member of the resistance, got a job working as a messenger in a company. The son, who graduated from an American university, made a life abroad and won't come back home. The daughter, a teacher, is facing a dilemma: either she accepts the traditional heritage and wears the Hijab or she lets herself be tempted by modernity. Radhia, the mother, witnesses these rifts, helpless.
