Christa Eka ASSAM is a Film director, screenwriter, producer and actress.

After studying accounting, marketing and advertising at the Panafrican Institute of Development, Buea (Cameroon), she turned to cinema and modeling.
She started with roles in school plays and later made her acting debut with a role in in the film "Break In" in 2005. Since then, she has starred in several short and feature films.
After a couple of years as an actress - starring as Main role in NOT MY WILL (Wegmuller Ikome, Cameroon, 2010), her first feature - she directed her first six-minute short film, Doormat, which was selected into the Durban Talent Campus in 2012, an opportunity which gave her a much-needed insight to the international world of filmmaking.
Beleh [2013, short narrative, 27mins], her second short film, was screened in over 20 international film festivals and won two awards including a ZAFAA Award for Best Short Film in London in 2013 and a Special Jury Mention at the 2013 Africa International Film Festival in Calabar, Nigeria.
She won the award for Best Short Film with Alma [2015, narrative] her third short film, at Ecrans Noirs 2015 (Yaoundé) & at the Abuja Film Festival in 2016.
Christa Eka is the creator/founder of ACE Entertainment, an entertainment company dedicated to producing quality films and helping other young and emerging artists.

Christa Eka Assam is a Cameroonian born filmmaker with a real passion for cinema. After high school, she studied Chartered Accounting and later obtained an ICM Diploma in Marketing, Advertising and PR. She later dropped all these to pursue a career in acting.

A very talented actress, she moved from playing the lead in school plays to film acting in 2005 with her debut role in the movie "Break-In". Since then she has starred as an actress in 5 feature films and 4 shorts. Alongside her acting career, she's also a fashion model. Driven by the need to produce quality films, she later went into scriptwriting and directing.

DOORMAT, a six-minute short is Christa Eka's debut film as a producer/director. She is currently working on the pre-production for her first feature film, SWAP few weeks after shooting her second short film entitled "BELEH"
