Ela Ravubale is a 56-year-old Fijian grandmother striving to deepen her understanding of contemporary pottery-making. In 2013, Ela was an artist in residence at the Western Arts and Crafts Society in Martintar, Nadi, where she completed many beautiful pottery pieces in preparation for the Society's annual crafts exhibition,.
Ela is a model for other women in the community to encourage them to involve themselves in projects that help them gain skills and earn income to help the family.
