Pita was born in 1983 in the province of Ra and joined the Oceania Centre in 2002. His art works are based on the traditional stories and legends that he heard being passed down from the elders of his village. His ideas also come from everyday life, where his surroundings are constantly changing. He enjoys painting in the contemporary form as there are no set boundaries and he can merge the life of today with that of the past.

Pita has exhibited in numerous exhibitions including many of the Red Wave Collective exhibitions (15 exhibitions between 2002 and 2009), Art On The Island (2003, 2004), at the 3rd Melanesian Arts and Cultural Festival, Suva (2006), at the exhibition celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome at the Oceania Centre (2007), at The Alliance Française de Suva (2007 and 2009), at The Homestay Gallery (2007), and at the ANZ Fine Art Exhibition (2007 and 2009). At the 2009 ANZ Fine Art Exhibition Pita won 3rd prize in the Senior Two-dimensional Fine Art category.

Pita has also worked on several commissions and had articles written on him many times in the local media.
